The Essential 2 by Greyhours was the successor to the Essential 1, which had already become one of the most inspiring watches on Pinterest. It’s actually a funny story how I became involved in the project. It all started when I sent a Facebook message asking about shipping costs, and that simple inquiry led to a conversation where I introduced myself as a designer and expressed my admiration for their brand. They loved my work, and I was hired to design the very watch that had inspired me the most—and which still holds a place on my Pinterest board.
Every aspect of this watch was meticulously considered, from the smallest fillet and chamfer to the precise technical integration of the Swiss movement. The 3D model was crafted to closely mirror the final product, involving extensive collaboration with the manufacturer. Despite the challenges posed by technical constraints, the design remained true to the original vision without compromise.
